Hôtel et Spa Le Lion d'Or

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s an excellent hotel for an affordable price, with a comfortable room, amazing service and a nice spa. We’ll definitely come back.

Never again. I wouldn’t rate this as a 3-star hotel. We booked a standard room with a baby cot, but without telling us, they put us in a disabled room. When we asked to move, the receptionist said that room was currently being given out as a standard room. I have nothing against disabled people, but guests should be told when other rooms aren’t available, especially when they have a child under 3. If you’re using the disabled room as a standard room, at least replace the mattress. It was awful, with metal parts digging into your back. I have serious back problems and had to see an osteopath after our “wonderful” night there. The receptionist said they were changing mattresses bit by bit. Start with the disabled room. The baby cot was completely broken, too. We were told the others were in use and we’d have to use that one. We also had dinner there. My fish and crab tartare starter had no seasoning or flavor. The only thing that made the price understandable was the portion size. For the main, I ordered crumble de poisson, and again it was tasteless. It looked terrible, just three pieces of fish stacked on top of each other with something pretending to be crumble. The staff stayed in the kitchen chatting, and we could hear them. When I told a woman about all the problems at checkout, all she did was apologize and take two glasses of wine off our bill. YOU NEED TO IMPROVE YOUR BUSINESS.

A handy little stopover. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and the room was a good size for travelers with suitcases.

A great place to stay, with nice rooms and a restaurant that’s very good value.
