Hotel Ariane

The man who welcomed us was polite, and the location worked well for our one-night visit to le Mont Saint Michel. The room was huge, with three bedrooms, but there was no fridge or sink. I wasn't expecting a kitchenette if that's not the kind of hotel it is, but a kettle to warm our baby's milk and a small fridge to keep it in would have helped. The shower water also kept switching between cold and warm. Apart from those two problems, we had a nice stay.

The hotel was very nice, with good services and friendly staff. They agreed when we asked to check in early, which made it a nice experience. It's a little way from Mont Saint Michael, but there's a shuttle right outside that goes directly to the site. On weekdays it usually starts at 9am, at 12 on Sunday, and the last one is around 6.30 pm.

Don't skip the breakfast! We stayed one night, visited the Mont twice, and found it well worth it. The hotel is a great place, close to the train station where all the buses to Mont St Michel depart.

The reception staff weren't kind or welcoming. Our summer stay was a mistake: there was no air conditioning, so we didn't sleep all night. We tried opening the window, but our room faced the street and people outside could see everything. The shower was open, too, and water went all over the place every time we used it. I don't recommend this hotel.
