We stayed just after New Year. The room design felt old-fashioned but was adequate, with a small TV, comfortable beds, and enough towels in the bathroom. It was clean, though there was black mold in the bathroom. Maybe that's common in buildings near the sea, but it would still be good to address it. Breakfast was nice, with toast, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, jam, cereal, milk, yogurt, tea, and coffee from a machine.

The free shuttle to and from Mont Saint Michel stops just outside, and the location is great if you want to stay near the site. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. I'd definitely recommend it.

The staff were friendly, but the awful smell in the room made me suspect black mold, and I was pretty sure the place would violate some kind of health regulations. The walls had fresh paint while everything else was old, which made me wonder if the paint was covering something concerning. The bed was so hard it felt like sleeping on the floor, and the door didn't feel secure, with no double lock or anything. I lasted about an hour before handing back the key and moving to a B&B in Beauvoir up the street. It was cheap, but still not worth the price. In hindsight, I'd have stayed in Rennes and driven to Mont Saint Michel for half a day to watch the sunset.

The location worked well for getting around. There's a free shuttle stop nearby for Mont St Michel, plus another stop about a five-minute walk away with buses to Pontorson, Rennes, and St.Malo train stations. A few restaurants for lunch and dinner are close, and there's a convenience and souvenir store in front of the hotel. They also offer a regular continental breakfast for less than €10. My one-night stay was enjoyable, and I'd recommend Hotel Vert to anyone planning a future visit to Mont St Michel. I booked a simple room through Agoda. It was outdated, so I'd give the room four stars, but the bed was soft and comfortable with just the right cushioning, and the pillows were very comfortable. I slept really well. The front desk staff were NOT rude at all. They were accommodating and available even after hours, and check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. Just remember there's a tax to pay at check-in.

There's parking right in front of the hotel, and the Mont Saint-Michel bus is just a minute away. The front desk was efficient and friendly. I forgot my mobile, and they mailed it to me. I'd recommend a visit to Mont Saint Michel.
