The setting was beautiful and the meal was excellent. The moules frites came in a generous portion at a good price, and the burger was excellent too. The lovely waitress brought water for our dog right away and welcomed them inside. Would recommend 💖

We spent a couple of hours over lunch and coffee at this lovely bar and bistro. The mood was relaxed, the service had a smile, and the fresh seafood was beautiful. Coffee was excellent too, with reasonable prices. Merci bien!

Port Vendres is lovely, and quieter and cheaper than nearby Collioure. We enjoyed our stay and thought it was good value. Our family suite had two bedrooms and a large bathroom, with a modern interior, sparkling white bedding, and tea, coffee and water in the room. From the pretty bedroom balconies, we could see the marina and working fishing port. The hotel was very clean, with pleasant, attentive staff and a good varied breakfast. Parking opposite by the marina was free, though finding a spot along the coast may be harder in summer.

We were welcomed warmly and seated quickly, and the service was excellent. The food was delicious, portions were just right, and prices were reasonable. A local friend told us to try the "brochette de bœuf", thin slices of beef grilled on a skewer with salad, fries and a mild curry mayo. I ordered that, and it was simply delicious. My partner chose the €19.50 three-course lunch, with Iberique charcuterie and cheese to start, grilled squid for the main, and Baba Rhum for dessert. The squid was tender and fresh, and the generous Baba Rhum was good. The same dishes are available à la carte. We ate so quickly I forgot to take photos, apart from dessert! The place feels trendy but still warm, with lovely black and white photos of the fishing port in the 1950s on the walls. We'd been here before for morning coffee or a late afternoon beer, and this new discovery is one of our favourite eateries in Port Vendres. We'll be back!
