Résidence U LATONU - Palombaggia

Palombaggia beach was just a few minutes away on foot, and the residence itself felt peaceful, intimate, and thoughtfully arranged. We had a wonderful stay, and really appreciated the hospitality.

The pool was spotless, with loungers and parasols, and the beach we think is the most beautiful was close by. Villa #7 had everything we needed, and the new bedding was superb. We stayed for 15 days, from July 5th to 19th, 2025, and loved it. Veronica welcomed us so warmly. When we were here two years ago, she mentioned plans to improve some of the amenities, and she followed through. The owners really do go out of their way for guests, and Veronica is always looking for ways to make things better. We were already talking about coming back next year, staying longer, and having a place held for us 😅😅🤩🤩🤩 Honestly, we almost don't want to review it because we'd love to keep it to ourselves 😅😅. But the owners deserve the praise for keeping their word, and we know we'll have a spot reserved. See you next year 😚

House 8 was comfortable and had what we needed, though the interior felt a little dated. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had a large fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave. There was an eat-in kitchen, a small children's room with bunk beds, a large bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower. Our terrace had a brick barbecue, and parking right outside was easy. We had a very nice week and would recommend the place to down-to-earth people. The nine holiday homes sit in a small, green complex, with house 8 just above the central area. There’s a clean pool, table tennis, and a tennis court available for free. It was generally very quiet, with the houses spaced out so you barely noticed the neighbors. The pool was usually empty, apart from the occasional encounter there. Some of the other apartments were larger and more modernized, and some had direct lake views, but they also cost a bit more. The complex is about 500 meters above Palombaggia beach. You can walk down if you aren't carrying too much, though a small handcart could help with more swimwear. If you drive, finding a spot at the beach is only possible if you get there before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m. A Spar supermarket is 8 km away. There was also a little shop nearby until the end of August, but it had already closed when we visited. Restaurants are available at the beach, along the road, and in Porto Vecchio, at different prices, and the quality varies a lot. The very friendly hostess doesn't live at the property, but was always reachable on WhatsApp when we had questions. One tip: booking directly through the complex's website can save a few percent compared with the big booking sites.
