Camping International

The owner speaks Dutch, which made things especially easy for us. It was one of the most welcoming campsites we’ve stayed at.

We stayed several days and found it peaceful, with a nice setting for visiting beautiful Ardeche. The owner was very friendly.

The campsite is in a convenient location, but I’d avoid staying here. The online listing, especially on booking.com, gives a false impression. It feels badly neglected and unsafe, and I think it should be banned. On arrival there was no hot water for a full day, the toilets were filthy, and they hadn’t been cleaned before guests arrived. The indoor facilities are old and don’t work properly. Bungalows are squeezed close together, and so much is just patched up. The terrace was rotten and gave way under me twice, with a plank used as a repair. The wooden railings are in poor shape and dangerous too. There’s no entertainment. The children’s slide is in very poor condition, beside the toilets and bins. Around the pool, the coping stones aren’t sealed and the safety hatch is left open all the time, which makes it dangerous. The paintwork is uncared for. There’s no bar, reception was mediocre, there was no real welcome, and nobody checked the inventory. Basically, nothing works. Such a shame given the location. Avoid it.

We had a short, peaceful stay at this friendly family campsite. There’s a lovely view from the terrace, plus a little pétanque spot and a play area for children. You can choose a tent or campervan pitch, or rent a mobile home. Thanks to MR. GAGNON AND HIS PARTNER. 🙂
