There was plenty of room to sit and read with a glass of wine, both in the lounge and in my room. In early December, Maison Mauro felt like a cosy, vintage mountain cabin, with wooden floors. Jean Bernards was so caring and attentive, molt adorable. Highly recommended! Moltes gràcies!

We came in early spring, outside the holiday season, and found a lovely, peaceful place in a beautiful spot beside the Canigou massif. The host was wonderful. Highly recommended. Finding somewhere to eat in the evenings can be challenging...

A really comfortable place to stay, with an excellent breakfast and a wonderfully accommodating host.

The owner was friendly, and breakfast was average. The price felt good for what you get. The house has rooms and large living rooms, though some facilities are a bit old. Rooms on the first floor mean using the stairs, as there’s no elevator.

It’s the kind of place where you can unwind surrounded by nature. The welcome was lovely, the bed so cosy I didn’t want to get up, and breakfast was homemade. They were attentive to anything we needed and went out of their way to help. They speak French, Catalan, and Spanish without any problem.
