Le Petit Paradis

We really recommend staying here, especially for the great value. The house is charming, and the wood-burning stove gives it such a warm, inviting feel. Viviane is lovely, always around and attentive to her guests. And thank you for the propolis!

We appreciated being able to book just one night, which is handy if you're hiking. Viviane even arranged an early breakfast for our early departure, with fresh pastries from the bakery, and gave us herbal tea from the garden too. The view is splendid and the welcome was very warm. Our room was on the small side, but clean and comfortable, with its own direct access to the terrace. The door with shutters felt a little less homey at first, though the house is spacious and Viviane is discreet, so we felt quite comfortable.

The welcome was warm and the view is lovely, but the room is in the owner's living room. Breakfast was very basic, with olive bread and only a croissant or pain au chocolat to choose from. The bathroom and toilet are shared with the owner.

The breakfast was minimal, and the sleeping arrangement left us with no privacy: the room is in a private home, behind a bookcase in the living room, with the bathroom shared. It left me wondering whether this is a little paradise or a big disappointment.
