Ambition Zen Presles

The cottages Bruno rents look beautiful, and the location is lovely. Bruno himself was very friendly, polite, and welcoming, and they have an amazing dog. I’m sorry we didn’t get to try the breakfast. The arrangement we were given, though, didn’t work for our large family. We were assigned the first floor of the maisonette, where Bruno and his family also live. To get to our floor we had to pass through their hallway, and we shared an entrance, kitchen, and fridge. The only separation was the doors to the individual rooms, so there was no real privacy and we felt we would be living in someone else’s home. We chose not to stay because I wasn’t comfortable sharing a home with another family. Under those conditions, we couldn’t make ourselves comfortable. I believe that part of the house shouldn’t be rented out. The separate little cottages look like a dream, but this setup was impossible for us.

The only downside was having just one night there. Bruno and Sophie made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, and were ready to help with anything that would make us comfortable. Our cottage was spotless, with a very comfortable bed, nice bathroom toiletries, and tea and coffee in the cupboard. Bruno brought breakfast to the terrace: delicious croissant with homemade preserves, hot coffee, fresh orange juice, yoghurt, and apples picked from the tree. It was heaven. What a lovely guesthouse!
