FASTHOTEL

It was freezing because there was no insulation. The sheets had hair on them, and the blankets hadn’t even been washed. The bathroom was like a tiny, dirty one-square-meter container. Horrible, please don’t stay there!

I’ve stayed here six times and plan to come back. It’s inexpensive, always very clean, and the staff are friendly. There are decent places to eat within an easy walk, and it makes a great base for exploring the Somme battlefields. I recommend it.

We came with our son, but left straight away after asking to move rooms. The replacement was even worse than the first one, and the desk manager said he’d try to refund us. I doubt we’ll get that back. It was a dreadful experience for the whole family. Our first room was small, with thin walls and a door connecting it to the neighbors. I wondered if that was safe. People were smoking nearby and talking loudly. It felt like a Brazilian slum. The desk manager was pleasant, but the room was terrible. I don’t know what the hygiene is like here, and I don’t want to think about it.

The room smelled of cigarettes, and for the price it still didn’t feel worth it. I stayed one night as a stopover. The amenities were extremely basic, and there was barely anything at breakfast. Two stars is the most I could give.
