Zenia Hotel & Spa

I was here for work, so the location suited me well, and I’d stay again. The staff were friendly, especially Lucy 😊. Cleaning could be better, but the beds and laundry were fine.

Lucie was especially warm and welcoming, and the hotel staff were amazing. I’d visit again.

Simply steer clear. If this is your only option, sleep in your car. The spa looked passable from 50 meters away, but up close it was like a municipal pool from the 80s. I wouldn’t let my dog in the pool or jacuzzis. It looked as if dogs had been in there already, even though we were meant to be the first in that day. My wife had asked for somewhere with a pool for one night on our way home. I thought I’d struck gold, but I was very wrong. The service rating would be two stars, but the rooms and location get one. The location is okay, surrounded by Pound Shops on an industrial site, with a lovely view of the bins out back. There’s a half-decent Carrefour nearby. Because of the problems we ran into, we didn’t have to pay for my beer. The hotel says it has English-speaking staff, but I speak more German than they do, and I wouldn’t say I speak German. We also found two small pests. We switched on the air conditioning just to take the edge off, but then it started leaking, so you can imagine what happened to the carpets.

The worst hotel stay of my life. It felt uncomfortable, unclean, and disgusting. I had mosquito bites all over my body, and there was just one towel for two people. They charge extra for more towels, supposedly to protect the environment.
