The setting is lovely and secluded, and Provins is only about a five-minute bike ride away, though the ride back is a little uphill. The grounds were mostly mown, and the goat was lovely. We stayed three nights and the price seemed fair. I’d come back for the location, but probably only for a couple of nights: even though the toilets were clean, they need repairs and an update, and the shower and WC facilities leave a lot to be desired.

The staff were kind and generous with their help, and we had a nice camping stay. The bathrooms are quite old, though, and would benefit a lot from renovation.

Provins is close by, which makes this a great base for visiting the charming medieval town. We were two families in two mobile homes, and the kids loved getting near the animals and playing on the trampoline, at table tennis and at babyfoot. The owners were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. If you want a quiet, welcoming camping experience, this place fits. We’d happily recommend it and hope to return soon.

The sanitary block was awful: there were just two showers, one for each gender, and the water was stone cold when I tried to shower in the morning. I ended up washing at the only dishwashing sink outside, where there was a huge spider in the plughole. There was junk around the site, including old kids’ toys, and I found it poorly managed. The owners were friendly, but their dogs and children wandered and played around the campsite all day, which felt unprofessional. The price was steep for what we got, over €25 for one night. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The sanitary facilities are extremely limited and badly need a makeover. Be wary of the high-star reviews, which may come from chalet guests who don’t have to deal with the anxiety-inducing single loo and shower. The site feels scruffy for the price, though some spending could make it much better, especially since it’s the only campsite near lovely Provins.
