Camping Parc de la Dranse

The cottage was lovely and well equipped, with a big terrace. Air conditioning was available for an extra charge. The camping park itself is beautiful, in the forest and about a five-minute walk from the lake. The beaches are quiet, with stones and grass, and the lake is great. There’s a trampoline and playground for kids, and the place is peaceful in the evenings and at weekends. People didn't seem to seek much contact, perhaps because most guests were French and we aren't. The problem was the drilling from the stone company right behind the park. During our week it ran Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and was very loud and constant, like a centrifuge. You could hear it at the lake too, though after walking 10-15 minutes along the shore it disappeared. We were in the cottage closest to the company, which didn't help. We'd have come back for the cottage, park, and beautiful lake if it weren't for that noise. It may not bother everyone, so go if you're okay with it.
