B&b Hotel Evian Publier

The big parking area was handy when we were traveling with several cars, and there’s a good burger place and a bakery nearby for breakfast. It's a straightforward B&B in an industrial area, so you get what you'd expect. A convenient stop for passing through, though I wouldn't choose it for the scenery 😉

We were a family of eight traveling from the UK to Italy for three weeks, and this was one of 11 places we stayed. Another B&B hotel on the trip was lovely, but this stay was a disaster. There were four rooms for us, and the rooms were filthy. My mattress had stains on it and the floor was dirty, and there wasn't any soap in the bathroom. My relatives found the same problems in their rooms and hadn't even started unpacking. At first there was nobody at reception, so we tried the self check-in machine. It didn't work properly and took ages. When I told the man at the desk once he arrived, he didn't seem interested, wouldn't even look at the rooms, and checked us out. No one offered to clean them or help sort things out. We left without anywhere to go. He said to ask booking.com for a refund, but after investigating, they refused because the hotel claimed we'd touched the bed sheets. The customer service was appalling. It's such a shame, because the other hotel we used was nice, but I won't use this company again.

The secure, spacious parking made arrival easy, and the rooms were very clean with comfortable beds. We slept well. It's a good value place that has what you need, without being flashy. If you want somewhere practical and comfortable in the area at a fair price, this is a great option.

The room here was roomier than at the first B&B hotel we stayed in, and the elevator can take up to 13 people. There were enough power outlets for me, though the bathroom didn't have much space for toiletries. Breakfast was a hassle: with tour groups staying there, you had to queue to get anything from the standard continental spread. We also found a shopping center within walking distance and ate at a great Asian restaurant.
