Six Chandelles M'etaient Comptees

We loved how Marie and Pierre welcomed us themselves, and Marie even offered her kitchen when the nearby restaurants were closed. The piano was a lovely surprise for my boys, who play, and the elegant dishes made family meals feel special. There was plenty of room for the four of us across two rooms, and the Victorian-style rooms felt cozy and luxurious at once. Their two cats added to the homely feel. From the balcony or terrace we watched beautiful sunrises and could stargaze at night. The lavender fields must be especially lovely when they're in bloom. Six Chandelles is well placed for Moustier Saint Marie, Lac de Saint Croix and the Verdon Gorge, and L'occitane factory is about a 25 km drive away for a visit and shopping. Free parking right outside was handy. Just be aware the accommodation is upstairs on the first floor and there's no lift, which could be hard with mobility issues or heavy bags. It wasn't a problem for us. We recommend it and hope to come back on our next trip to France. A lovely wooden chalet-style stay in Pouimisson.
