Le Mas de la Lombarde

Aline and Frank were incredibly helpful. We were hiking from village to village in the Luberon, and Aline drove us to the start of our first difficult hike. She also mailed back a dress we'd left behind. The views were gorgeous, the atmosphere was calm, and our room was clean and comfortable. We also had a lovely Saturday dinner with the other guests. We had a wonderful stay at Le Mas de Foncaudette. Thanks, Aline!

Valerie and Jacques were wonderful hosts, and the location is idyllic with a really cute courtyard. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. They even got me gluten-free bread for breakfast, though I'd brought my own. It's a great base for visiting the lovely Luberon villages. I hope to come back.

The hosts were kind, discreet, and incredibly helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the whole property is well maintained, with lots of character. The location is just right.

Our experience was unpleasant and far below the glowing reviews here and on Booking. We booked and paid for four nights but left after just one. The grounds looked neglected when we arrived, and the room was damp. The owner said it was because the room had recently been painted. After our first night, we asked to move rooms. We were told that was possible for one night while the owner installed a dehumidifier. But if we didn't want to stay in the original room, we had to say so by 8 a.m. the next morning, so it could be rented again and we could leave. The owner became so unfriendly that talking was no longer possible, so we called Booking to mediate and then moved elsewhere. Thanks to Booking's help, we got the money for the remaining days back. The owner later cancelled our booking, which meant we couldn't leave a review on Booking, so we're posting this here instead.
