Hotel les vieux Acacias

The rooms are basic and a bit old-fashioned, though they do have a nice balcony. There’s free parking in the yard. Overall, it’s a very simple hotel.

Apart from the hot water being inconsistent, things were fine. Breakfast options are very basic.

The garden view was lovely, and the hotel is in a beautiful, quiet village with a convenient carport. But our week here was a real disappointment. Pool access was only from 4 pm to 8:30 pm, which we wish the website had made clear, especially since we chose this hotel and paid more for the pool. We would have picked somewhere else if we’d known. The garden itself was pleasant, but our dog wasn’t allowed on the lawn, by the pool, on the veranda, or in the breakfast area, and had to stay on a leash. We knew about the €10/day fee from the website, but with so many restrictions, it felt like dogs weren’t really welcome. As for our room, we paid extra for a balcony, which didn’t feel worth it. It was unfinished, the mattress was very uncomfortable, and the thin walls meant we could hear everything. Housekeeping was only available on request, and we felt more like we were bothering them when we asked. At reception, we only got a greeting and a smile when we bought a small snack.

The superior double room had a large shower and a pleasant view outside, and parking was easy. We booked at the last minute with our dog, and the welcome was adequate. We’d chosen this room for a double bed, but it turned out to be two single mattresses on one frame, which wasn’t very comfortable. The sea is nearby, the prices are reasonable, and we still enjoyed our stay.
