We found the city centre an easy walk away, with nice shops and an amazing cathedral. There's also an outdoor enclosed area where the students could play, and plenty of space for coaches. Checkout was at 9:30. The rooms were pleasant, though ours had four windows and good light, while others in the group said theirs were smaller and darker. One student slipped coming out of the bathroom, which is small and gets quite slippery after a shower. Some students also had trouble with their temperamental key cards. They could play pool, with cues, chalk and balls provided, for €1 each time. We were with a school group and arrived late, after the canteen had closed. The kitchen staff stayed up an extra 2.5 hours to feed us and were welcoming, though the veggie choices were limited. The food was nice, and the pork was, as one student put it, "banging." Each day we got breakfast with cereal, bread, yogurt and jam, but no pastries, plus a takeaway lunch and hot dinners that both had veggie options.

For the price, this is probably what you'd expect in Reims. It's well located and the reception staff were friendly, but the kitchen staff were lousy. It's a hostel suited to modest backpackers or pupils on their first school trip. Rooms are very small, and some don't have a toilet.

We found it calm, quiet, and pretty clean, with underground bike storage that was also handy for drying our tent. It was an easy place to reach from the canal route after a few days of cycle camping from Arras. The cathedral is a flat 20-minute walk along mostly pedestrian streets, and nearly all the downtown sights are within that same distance. Recommended for some R&R.

The staff were very friendly and gave us all the help and advice we needed. Our room was clean and tidy, surprisingly spacious, and the bathroom was clean and functional. We were just there for a night on our way to Germany. For the price it was good, though breakfast was average at best and could have been better.

I booked a private room with its own bathroom, and it was very clean and comfortable, with a nice garden view. It's a good, reasonably priced hostel near the city centre, and there's free parking on the street out front. I didn't visit Reims itself, but the location looked convenient for getting into the centre.
