A handy stop just off the main highway to Lorient, with good connections. The staff were friendly, the beds made for a good night’s sleep, and breakfast had plenty to choose from, including fresh croissants and baguette and produce from local farmers.

Getting around without a car is a little awkward, though manageable. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well stocked, and the bathroom was great.

The restaurant photos show lovely meals, but I found the restaurant situation misleading. We were told it wasn’t open Friday, and earlier reviews suggest it may also be closed Sunday. There isn’t even a basic coffee maker in the room. The pizza place down the road was appalling, with pizza that was warm at best and nearly cold. The toilet in the room was so small a shoehorn might come in handy, and the room photos don’t reflect what you get. For the money, I’d stay somewhere else.

As a base for seeing the area, the hotel is in a great spot. But our room got so hot that we couldn’t sleep. The curtain on the sunny side had been left open, and the heat made the room really uncomfortable. Some attention to guests who have to sleep in that kind of heat would make the stay more bearable.
