Hôtel du colombier

The manager was so thoughtful and kind, and we had some lovely conversations with him. You can tell he cares about his work and wants every guest to enjoy their stay. We had an exceptional visit and got a really warm welcome. I absolutely recommend the hotel and will definitely return. Thanks again!

We arrived yesterday and left in the middle of the night, feeling frightened and extremely uncomfortable. We’d read reviews mentioning someone watching guests while they slept, and that worried us. The man at reception was the worst part: on the phone he was aggressive and insulting, made inappropriate remarks about our appearance, and spoke in a threatening, disrespectful way. The room itself was in an unacceptable state. It smelled strongly of damp, felt gloomy, and was dusty everywhere. The sheets clearly hadn’t been washed and had hair on them. The toilet had urine in it, and there was hair all over the bathroom floor. The whole experience was shocking, stressful, and unacceptable. We absolutely don’t recommend this hotel.

Reception had closed at 10 pm when I got there, so the keys had been left on the door as agreed. But the room was filthy. There were urine marks on the toilet and hair and fur in the bed. The ceiling had suspicious stains and the room felt gloomy. I couldn’t spend the night in those unsanitary conditions, so I had to leave at once and urgently find somewhere else to stay. It showed complete disregard for guests and basic hygiene. Avoid this place at all costs.

The service was so good that I’d happily recommend the hotel. Staff were helpful and attentive, and gave me a warm, friendly welcome that made me feel at ease straight away.
