The check-in desk is somewhere else, so after checking in at the 3-star hotel you have to walk around to the opposite side of the block. A real inconvenience, especially when you're paying to stay here. The room itself was in rough shape. The bathroom shelves weren't clean, and the walls are so thin I could hear the hallway, the next room, hair drying, even buttons being pressed. Worst of all, the bed smelled damp and rotten. The sheets and pillows had that strong half-dried laundry smell. Perfume didn't cover it, so I slept with my down jacket over me instead of using the bedding. I absolutely can't recommend this place.

The room was very clean, though quite small, and the shared facilities were nice. Breakfast didn't feel worth what it cost, and sound carries badly between the rooms and corridors. In response to the hotel's reply, I was in a single room, and the hotel was full because of a convention.

There’s a kitchen for making your own meals if you’d rather not eat out. There are halal restaurants nearby too, though I personally didn’t enjoy their food. The place felt cozy and quiet, right in central Rennes and very close to the train station.

For a weekend in Rennes, Littel Sévigné worked really well. It’s a modern, comfortable hotel, just a few minutes from both the station and the city center.
