B&B HOTEL Clermont-Ferand Nord Riom

I've found BB Hotels reliable in lots of ways while driving around Europe, and this one was no exception. Booking was easy, the employees were kind, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was delicious. My only small gripe is that I'd like breakfast to start earlier every day.

There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, and the amount was generous. The gluten free madeleines didn't really go with the excellent bacon and scrambled egg, though. The room was clean and I slept very comfortably. Just note there's no kettle in the room, but you can buy hot drinks from the vending machine in the foyer.

The room was a great size and really clean, and I slept very well. There's no reception, just self check in. That wasn't a major issue, but it was a bit of a hassle when I was tired from travelling and wanted to get into my room quickly. I'd stay again because it's such good value.

For the price, the hotel was perfectly fine for a night, and it was easy to find while travelling through France. Other hotels are on the same estate, with a couple of restaurants nearby. It felt odd arriving to find nobody around, but the automated check in was easy to use. The highlight was the staff member working later that day. I wish I had caught her name, because she was brilliant and gave outstanding customer care. We'll look for this chain again because of her. Thank you.
