Hotel Restaurant Au Cerf

We waited more than 30 minutes and still had no food. The staff were extremely slow, rude, and unwelcoming. We came to eat at the restaurant. Avoid this place!

After a meal out, we came back to the hotel hoping to finish with coffee and dessert. We sat on the deck and got no service at all, so I went to ask for a menu. The response wasn’t welcoming, and when I asked for crème brûlée, I was told the kitchen had finished. That would have been fair enough, except later the table behind us was offered desserts. I found the staff quite rude, and the lack of service was real. I won’t return or recommend it.

Barbara, who took our order, suggested some Alsatian specialties and helped us avoid ordering too much. The crème brûlée came on a big plate that was easy to share, and all the food was delicious. The man seating guests was friendly too, and before we left Barbara kindly took lots of photos for us. We had a satisfying dinner here.

Getting anything took forever, when someone came to the table at all. The service was truly awful, arrogant, and unwelcoming.
