Lovely hotel, amazing panorama ✌

My husband and I left very disappointed. We were the only guests that night, yet the room we were offered faced the road instead of the superb valley view. The set-menu meal came without anyone asking if we liked the dessert, and it was ice cream with no choice of flavor. We were also told off like children because my husband had forgotten to mention I was vegetarian. The welcome was polite, but no more than that. Breakfast had to be before 8:30 a.m. because the owners were going to a funeral. Maybe it’s time for a well-deserved retirement.

Sylvie and Bernard made our stay. They’re incredibly kind, always ready with tips for seeing the area and its nicest spots, and they really do their best to make guests comfortable. The place feels more like a guesthouse or B&B than a hotel. There are set times, but they aren’t restrictive, and the atmosphere is more welcoming. We felt right at home. We found it by chance while visiting Risoul. One phone call was all it took to decide. It’s very well located, the rooms are spacious, and the view from the room or terrace is magnificent. Thank you both, we’ll definitely be back soon.

We spent a three-day weekend ski trip as a couple at Au Bon Logis hotel, with half-board. The room was comfortable and clean, and the meals were excellent, with local products. We were very happy with the value for money. The owners were welcoming and flexible. There’s a lovely fireplace in the lounge, just right for an aperitif. We had no car, but even in the off-season we managed to use the shuttle buses to and from the train station and resort without much trouble. The hotel is about a 15-minute drive or shuttle ride from the resort.
