Golden Tulip CDG Airport Roissy

I was only staying here in transit because I had no other option, but I absolutely do not recommend it. One receptionist was rude and spoke to me as if I were a beggar. She said, “In 1 star hotels they might charge less but since we are 4 stars we charge a higher deposit,” even though my mom and I hadn't said anything about the price. We've stayed at Marriott and other 5 Star hotels and have never been talked to like that. The staff were horrible and rude. Absolutely ridiculous.

The hallways and rooms smelled horrible, and our meal downstairs was frustrating from start to finish. The server barely paid attention to our table, so we had to go over to the bar several times to get his attention while he sat behind it talking with the other bartender. We were also charged for tap water, even though tap water is supposed to be served free by law.

If you're a regular paying guest, you should be satisfied, and the food presentation is great. But that may not be how it feels when a flight arrives so late that you miss your connection and get a voucher for a free dinner. The meal was very basic, with no drinks included. One glass of beer at the bar was almost 10€. You can dream of prices like in Spain or Germany. Czech Republic is in a whole other universe 😜

There isn't a fridge in the room, so for cold water you may have to get some from the welcome-drink corner in the lobby. Reception staff weren't friendly and didn't speak English well. Check carefully at checkout, because they don't prepare a complete receipt properly, and even that simple checkout takes a long time. I really wouldn't recommend this hotel for a transit stay. I was there one night, and this was the worst hotel I've stayed at in Paris. I'd strongly suggest Novotel or another airport hotel. Even a youth hostel is much better.
