Holiday Inn Paris CDG Airport by IHG

I loved the quiet, calm area around the hotel. It's about 15 minutes by car from Terminal 2, a 10-minute walk to Carrefour Express, and roughly 40 minutes on foot to Aéroville, making it a convenient base near the airport. My first visit was on 26 April 2026 after a 13-hour flight from Malaysia. Mr. Alban welcomed us warmly and got check-in done quickly. I had trouble accessing my room twice, but he stayed patient and kind, then went to my floor himself to make sure it was sorted. The room was spacious, bright, clean, and in excellent condition, with practical furniture and all the basic amenities. Thanks to housekeeping and maintenance as well. Breakfast was included. The choice was average for a 4-star hotel, but more than enough, and the dining area was clean and spacious. Thanks to everyone we met for making the stay comfortable, safe, and welcoming. I'd recommend the hotel to friends and guests.

The hotel was clean and the front desk was great, but the restaurant was terrible. We waited an hour for a Caesar salad, two cold salmon dishes, and fish and chips. The fish arrived overcooked and cold, so I ate the good parts. The quesadilla chili was cold at room temperature, and the Caesar salad lettuce was old and turning pink. We hope we don't get sick. Our waitress had started just three days earlier and seemed to be handling everything alone. She did her best, but it seemed like the other staff didn't care about her success. The kitchen seemed unqualified and the staff confused. Management really needs to look at the restaurant and fix it. After 20 years as an IHG member, I felt valued at the front desk, but not in the restaurant at the same hotel. Shame!!

The regular staff are nice and professional, but management seems amateurish. I've reminded them several times, by email and in person, about issues that have been around for weeks. The airport shuttle pickup details on the website and IHG app are wrong. Other hotels managed to update this kind of information within two days, so it shouldn't take weeks. All rooms stay above 25°C because management deliberately keeps the air conditioning at its lowest setting, barely a whisper, to save money. Other hotels nearby can keep rooms cool if guests want that. In the gym, the sauna has been broken for weeks, and the dumbbells jump from 1-10 kg to 20-30 kg. Most people use 10-20 kg, so that range is needed. The water fountain buttons offer different temperatures and still or sparkling water, but for weeks only plain room-temperature water has come out. Maybe maintenance hasn't paid attention to the details, or maybe management is cutting costs at paying guests' expense.

Everything was clean and nice. The room was tidy, and there was no hotel smell, which I appreciated as someone with allergies. The staff all speak great English. One note about the shuttle: the location recently changed, and the website hasn't been updated. Pickup and drop-off are at the Train Station area, T2 5th floor platform, with no elevator. The ride from CDG takes 10 minutes. Keep that in mind. This is a CDG problem, though, not the hotel's.
