ibis Rouen Centre Champ de Mars

We stopped here overnight on the way to Le Shuttle, and would stay again. Our two dogs were made very welcome, as were we. The room was clean and comfortable, and there was a nice bar and restaurant. Breakfast was delicious. We could park in the hotel car park or on the street.

Yassine gave us a warm welcome, took time to point out sights, offered great recommendations, and paid attention to every detail. His professionalism and genuine kindness really set the tone for exploring Rouen, and I’d recommend the hotel to anyone planning a trip. Thanks to him and the whole team! We stayed just one night at the start of November, and it was such a pleasant visit. Our room was very clean and had a great view of the cliffs. The main sights were about an 8-10 minute walk away, and breakfast had a good number of choices.

Breakfast was the highlight, absolutely fantastic for the price and a great start to the day. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was basic, as you’d expect at Ibis, but had what we needed for a couple of nights, apart from maybe a kettle. A cheap shelf in the bathroom would help too, since there’s barely room to put anything down. Otherwise it was clean, quiet, had good water pressure, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was easy to find, though the car park entrance is on your right as you enter the laneway. We found a space easily on floor -3, and there’s a lift from the garage to reception. I’d highly recommend it.

The restaurant was busy when we had dinner. The food was good and reasonably priced, though service was slow with so many people and seemingly too few servers. Breakfast was OK rather than good. Reception staff were polite and efficient, and the typical IBIS room was clean and fit for purpose for the price. We stayed one night on Sat 6/9/25. The car park was extremely tight, even with our medium-sized car, and our standard but slightly sporty, low car scraped underneath on the way out. Parking costs extra, which felt a little opportunistic. Apart from that charge, I thought the hotel was good and reasonably priced.
