The breakfast at La Musicale was excellent, like something homemade but even better. Sophie makes coffee in a Bodum style and has a lovely selection from a local roaster. François was happy to show us his recording studio, “Accès Digital,” which felt fascinating and authentic. The converted warehouse also has a recording studio, yet the bed and breakfast is peaceful and pleasant, with a warm, personal welcome. It’s well placed for Rouen Cathedral and the city center.

We came away feeling like locals after four days in Rouen, thanks to all the tips and lovely places Sophie and François shared. La Musicale felt warm and welcoming, and we’d love to come back. We had a wonderful weekend with them.

The breakfast was fantastic and made just for us, and Sophie and François had loads of suggestions for Rouen and nearby. They’re the heart of La Musicale, a spacious, charming place with everything well arranged, close to the center. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Delicious breakfast and such welcoming hosts. The bed was comfortable, there’s a private bathroom, and the center is about a 10-minute walk away. Really good, and I’d recommend it to anyone staying in Rouen.
