The Originals City, Hôtel Notre Dame, Rouen

The room was nice and the bed comfortable. It's only a few minutes from the cathedral. There's no lift, which makes carrying a heavy suitcase awkward.

There's no parking at the hotel, but a public paid lot with overnight parking is just a block away, about $15. Despite its name, it's not just for cathedral visitors. An express grocery store is around the corner too. We found the place clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful, even assisting us with a food delivery order. Our family of three had a simple room with three single beds. The toilet and shower were clean. There's no mini fridge, and the TV has basic channels. Good location, nice place.

The cathedral view is lovely, and the hotel is cheap with very nice staff. But the rooms are small, and the toilet smells of sewage. Close the door properly or you'll wake up to a really bad smell. The walls are thin and poorly insulated, so you hear nearly everything the neighbors say. There's no air conditioning or elevator, and the Wi-Fi is slow most of the time and sometimes cuts out.

Lovely staff, a clean hotel, and a perfect location, all at a very good price. Thank you ❤️
