La Résidence

Lisa’s breakfast was the daily highlight. She’s a world-class baker, with homemade omelets, croissants, bread, brownies, banana cake, cookies, and more each morning, plus fruit, juice, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. There was so much that we didn’t need lunch. Our room was a delight on both visits, and Richard and Lisa are about as gracious and capable as hosts can be. We learned on this return visit that we’d been their first English-speaking guests, seven years ago, arriving less than a week after they took ownership. Richard was busy getting things in order inside and out, but still made time to help us whenever we needed it. If you’re nearby, stop in. We’d even change our route to visit La Residence. The generous breakfast in the beautiful garden was a highlight, especially the homemade granola, Anzac biscuits, and gazpacho. Right in Saint-Antonin’s old town, this is a marvellous B&B. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a clean, modern bathroom. Even through the heatwave it stayed cool without aircon, as long as we opened the windows in the morning and shut them later. A brilliant choice for a stay in the region.

They were so welcoming and helpful during our wedding weekend. We took over the whole house, and Richard and Lisa let friends and bridesmaids who weren’t staying there visit whenever. They also handled the dietary needs of our group really well, with several people being gluten free or vegan. Breakfast was delicious each morning, even the coffee was good, and the beds were comfortable. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Best stay ever! 🥹 My room was beautiful, and that balcony view was perfect. Richard & Lisa were amazing, so caring and helpful, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing too. I felt like a princess there.
