We’d happily come back. The host was super friendly, breakfast was good, and the clean, cozy room slept four, with enough space for five. The master bedroom, chambre “Charollaise”, was superb.

We appreciated being able to arrive late using the keypad, and the parking felt secure. Jean Michel gave us a warm welcome for our one-night stay in the family room. Breakfast was good before we set off to visit nearby Paray-le-Monial. Thanks, Jean Michel!

The breakfast was excellent, and our host was very kind. We stayed one night with two adults and three children, breaking up our drive back from Paris to Milan. The room was lovely, and the setting in a quiet village near Cluny, surrounded by beautiful French countryside, was an enchanting surprise.

Jean-Michel gave us a really warm, friendly welcome when we stopped here for a night during our Burgundy cycling tour in August 2025. It was a peaceful place to stay, with a lovely, very well-kept room, secure bike storage, plus a kitchen and garden we could use. Breakfast was decent too. We highly recommend L'Escampette.

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and our host was pleasant and welcoming. We’re an American family traveling in France, and found this charming cottage well suited to families on the road. We enjoyed breakfast each morning, the French countryside view from our window, and the play area for our children. Please excuse my Google translation. :-)
