The evening meals were a real highlight, carefully prepared and incredibly tasty. We were also comfortable in the room, which was just right for unwinding after a day in the mountains. We spent two nights at the Auberge du Chamois Bleu in Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye, and the manager's warm, attentive welcome had us feeling at ease straight away. We'd happily recommend staying here.

Karen made superb meals and was a wonderful hostess. I came here with a friend in 2023 to cycle the high mountain passes, and the whole stay felt like stepping back into the 1950s. It was a fantastic experience, highly recommended!

The meals were excellent, and Le Chamois Bleu itself has a charming, peaceful garden and house. Karen gave us a warm welcome and was so attentive. We had a wonderful time together, and would highly recommend staying here.
