The location is handy for the port, and the bed was large and comfortable. But the room was so small there was hardly space for our bags, and breakfast at €11 each wasn’t worth it. The restaurant and pool in the advert were actually in the hotel next door. We’ll book next door next time.

The room was tidy and clean, and looked just like the website photo, so the marketing was honest. I didn’t worry about bed bugs at all. There was a kettle, which is handy if you like hot water or want tea, and a hair dryer too. Cleanliness was spot on, and the room had a kettle and hair dryer. I’d recommend the place, though I only gave four stars because the shower room was about 1m² and I kept hitting the walls. The ground-floor room was quiet, but seagulls woke me at 4 a.m. They get up early, though that’s not the hotel’s fault. Breakfast starts at 8 a.m., so you can’t really enjoy it fully if you need a 9 a.m. train: the station isn’t nearby, it takes a little over 20 minutes by bus or 10 minutes by car.

After arriving on a late ferry, we needed somewhere simple and convenient. It’s about 10 minutes from the port, and check-in was easy. Our room was clean, though the shower room was a bit small, and it had been set up for one person, which was okay. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. All good.

There’s on-site parking, and this is a classic little hotel for an overnight stay before catching the ferry. The young man at check-in was helpful and spoke good English. The room was tiny and okay for comfort, but there was too much ambient light and no air conditioning or fan. Breakfast was limited and expensive at around €12, more than the price advertised on the website. The hotel is on a fairly busy road, but it was clean and okay for light sleepers.
