L'Industrie de Marie - Comme sous les toits

We paid €4200 and expected something very different. The place was filthy and poorly maintained, and after all this I came home with flea bites. We went three and a half days without hot water. I asked for a refund and received €300. I just want to forget this holiday as soon as possible. Never again. The rooms were dusty and dirty, including under the beds and sofas, and the carpets had dirt, hair, and dust all over them. The bathrooms had mold, slimy drains, and shower heads and doors coated in limescale. I had to buy cleaning products to make things somewhat clean. The broken BBQ was there when we arrived, and several lights didn't work. Kitchen equipment was minimal, and the pool was too cold. Outside was a mess too. The patio furniture was jumbled, its cushions were moldy, and moving the sofa showed rust trails from its legs. The garden and patio were neglected, with weeds and cigarette butts everywhere despite it supposedly being a smoke-free house. The fountain didn't work, and had dirty water with something like algae in it. The laundry room stank and was messy, and the dryer didn't dry. The new chairs were assembled so badly that my daughter fell through one.
