Auberge Manoir de la Nocherie

We couldn't sit outside without getting bitten because of the flies. We had also called ahead to reserve dinner and were told booking wasn't needed and the restaurant opened at 7, but it never opened, so we were left without dinner. The facilities were very dirty too. Wouldn't recommend.

The site was peaceful enough that all we could hear was birdsong, and the toilets and showers were clean and nice. We paid 13.80 euros a night for two adults and a campervan without electricity, and stayed two nights. Domfront, a small medieval town, is a 20 to 30 minute cycle along the cycle path. It was very quiet there on Sunday.

Their homemade Perry and cider were excellent. We only camped for one night in the orchard, but felt very welcome and liked the peaceful setting. There are lovely dog walks along the voie vert.

I stayed at the campsite for one evening in mid-September. The pitches were spacious, the location excellent and the facilities clean and good. The price was very reasonable, as shown in the attached photo. The rooms were all booked, and so was the auberge where I’d hoped to have dinner. Maybe next time.
