We hadn’t planned to stay at Hotel Bel Horizon. Car trouble left us looking for the nearest hotel, and we’d booked without checking reviews. We don’t speak French, but the hostess was so helpful using Google Translate. After checkout, we had to wait in the lobby to find out where to collect another car. It was a two-hour taxi ride away, and we couldn’t find a taxi or bus online. She called in French and arranged it all for us. We’re really grateful. The hotel was spotless, and breakfast was perfect. There’s no air-conditioning, but the fan was powerful and the room stayed cool overnight. After everything that went wrong that day, the stay made things a little better. The hostess went above and beyond, too. She was friendly and incredibly helpful. Would absolutely recommend.

Madame was so friendly and helpful. The room had been recently refurbished and was comfortable. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel is close to the main street, and check-in was easy. From outside it doesn’t look like much, but inside our room was modern and lovely. It was warm and cozy on a cold night.

The receptionist gave us a lovely welcome, making tea and bringing out biscuits when we arrived. Check-in was excellent.

The bed was comfortable. There weren’t many food choices because of corona.
