Camping La Pointe

You can stroll into town by the river, with Crozon, Quimper, and some lovely beaches only a short drive away. At night we could hear owls, and even saw a hedgehog wandering into the campsite. The site has plenty of room, and the hosts are so lovely. There’s a small bar, a games room and library, plus fridges and freezers to use and places to charge things. Showers were clean. The crepe van visits, and being able to order fresh bread and pastries each day was great. One of my favourite campsites, and I can’t recommend it enough.

There’s a small bar behind reception, and you can order bread there the day before. It’s about a 20 minute walk beside the river into pretty Chateaulin. The campsite itself is lovely, with roomy pitches, some shaded and others more open. The friendly, helpful owners are an English couple. The grounds and facilities are well kept, and the separate toilet and shower areas are unisex and very clean. We’ll definitely stay again.

We spent 10 days here and found it peaceful and restful, with plenty to do within 30km. The garden is lovely, and the chickens are nice too. You can buy their eggs if you feed them well. There’s a little bar, and a food truck comes by twice a week for crepes. The pitches are large and well maintained, the hosts very friendly and helpful, and the facilities extremely clean. A quiet place for families, and dogs are allowed. The pitches offer a few different settings, from open grassy spots to places under the trees. Everything was absolutely clean. The hosts are lovely, and the site is so well managed that it can feel like staying with your aunt and uncle.
