Château de Termes

It's always too short a visit, even with the long days! We had another dream stay in this little paradise. Babeth and Gérard are attentive and always available, with Romain and Orlane helping them wonderfully, and adorable Malice too. The Monday welcome drinks are a lovely way to meet people, and those connections carry on through pétanque, Wednesday dinner evenings, and the bar, which is always open and becomes a natural meeting place.

We loved it, and so did the kids. It's a great setup for a family holiday: quiet and surrounded by nature, with a children's playground in a safe park. There are chances to meet neighbors and other guests, while everyone still has their own space and privacy. The hosts are around and available without getting in your way. The region is beautiful, with peaceful walks as well as major tourist sights to visit. We especially liked Martel, and we'd gladly come back.

The peaceful nights, birdsong, squirrels, and hammock all make for a restful stay. Each unit is fully equipped, including a dishwasher and washing machine. Some of France's loveliest towns and villages are within an hour's drive, and there are great walking trails too. The Dordogne River is less than 15 minutes away, so there's plenty to do. Many thanks to Babeth and Gérard for arranging activities that help guests meet and connect.

The welcome drink and pétanque tournament are always a hit, and the whole atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Everyone can do their own thing. I've been to Château des Termes three times, and we've loved every visit. Babeth and Gérard are so welcoming, as are Romain and Orlane. It's a safe, peaceful place for kids, a nice change from the very touristy coastal areas. The accommodations are spacious and have everything you need. My favorite is the hammock, where I read in the cool morning air before everyone else gets up. Thanks again, hope to see you soon!
