Château Ormes de Pez

We had the whole château to ourselves during our stay. The manager was so kind and warm, and even upgraded us for free to a superior room. The building was well kept, very clean, and had a big garden and an outdoor pool. They arranged a wine tour and tasting in Lynch Bages, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was good, and he also showed us the other beautiful rooms. I’d recommend staying here.

The nights were so quiet and peaceful, and the garden park was lovely. Château Orme de Pez is gracious and spacious, and Gilles made the stay special with delicious breakfasts, thoughtful advice, and restaurant recommendations, especially in St Julien. He also helped make our visits to Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron and Chateau Lynch Bages possible and enjoyable. We stayed two nights in May and wished we could have stayed longer. Gilles was kind, considerate, and very professional. The country house is charming, and its location is great for visiting top vineyards. We’d happily return to Chateau Orme in a heartbeat. Au revoir Gilles! It was much better than the overpriced, cramped rooms at Maison Estournel.

The breakfast is a must, especially those delicious scrambled eggs the château managers made. They were so kind and helpful. There’s a great wine cellar too. The châteaux are beautiful, with huge rooms and lots of shared space, yet it still feels private. We practically had the whole place to ourselves, including the good-sized pool out back. Free bikes were available for rides to the local vineyards. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Nadège was so kind and accommodating. We had a great time, the rooms, grounds, pool, and wine were all amazing. Highly recommend!
