Hôtel Restaurant Arcé

The food was delicious, with local ingredients and traditional cooking given a little twist. We stayed for a couple of nights and had a superb weekend. Hôtel Arcé has a lovely setting, and both the hotel and dining area were very neat. Service was perfect, and the €39 menu was a treat. Breakfast was buffet style, with natural orange juice, a big pot of coffee or tea, yogurt, dried fruit, compotes, fresh fruit, lovely bakery items like bread and croissants, homemade cakes, cold meats, cheese, and more. Thanks to the whole team at Hôtel Arcé.

We had lunch in beautiful surroundings, and the trout from the river was good quality. The starter and main course were more refined than the dessert. Service could have been better too, especially when we needed help choosing wine. Still, it was a good experience.

The rooms have traditional decor, so don’t expect modern luxury, but that’s part of the charm. It’s a lovely, peaceful setting, the restaurant food is fantastic, and the staff are kind. Great breakfast, too.

I stopped in for lunch, wearing full biker gear, and they welcomed me wholeheartedly and looked after me beautifully. The meal was spectacular. If the hotel is anywhere near as good as the food, it must be a gem.
