The last time I stayed here was during a heat wave, and without air conditioning the room was impossible to sleep in. I ended up paying €24 to move to the Ibis Styles room, which was basically the same room painted green, with a bigger TV and air conditioning, plus a basic breakfast. I've used this place several times over the years and it used to be fine as a budget option. At over €50 a night now, though, the rooms feel well past their sell-by date, and I'm no longer keen on Ibis Budget. I won't be hurrying back.

The room was a decent size, clean, and had comfortable beds, but it was hot and smelled of mould. We hadn't noticed when booking that the budget room had no air conditioning. Even with a desk fan borrowed from reception, it was stuffy and we didn't sleep well.

The secure parking was the main reason we chose it, since our car had bikes on it overnight. The room was adequate, though hot in the middle of August. It's a pretty basic stopover on the drive from the south of France to Calais.

The check-in staff were friendly, and the room was clean and nice. Good value for the price.

Breakfast was OK and it's fine for an inexpensive night, but the morning staff were incredibly loud, shouting to each other outside my door early on. I understand they have work to get done, but they should pay attention to the do not disturb signs. On hard floors, cloth floor sweeps would be much quieter than hoovers, so people who arrive late can get some sleep.
