The African-French woman at the front desk was lovely, and the AC worked perfectly. The bed was decent, and I had a balcony, though it was a bit dirty. The room was tiny, and I couldn't stand upright in the shower, so I had to crouch. There was no shower curtain either. The hotel felt dated and depressing, everything seemed dark, and the street was gloomy. It needs more light. I gave it three stars because of the woman at reception; otherwise, two. To be fair, most hotels in this area, though not all, were drab and dreary.

After a long drive, I checked in and couldn't believe how small the room was. Everything was crammed in, and there was barely room to move without hitting the bed, closet, or wall. I went out for a late dinner to get away from the claustrophobic space. When I got back around midnight, there was no hot water in the bath. The receptionist was asleep in his room, and when I asked for help, he yelled at me for disturbing his rest. The problem was never fixed, and there was still no hot water at 7am before I left for work. What a nightmare.

It's an old hotel, but the shopping area is close by.
