Kyriad Lyon Sud Saint Genis Laval

The rooms were spotless, and the AC worked perfectly. It’s a peaceful spot with a well-lit parking area that felt safe, with CCTV cameras. The location is convenient too, about 10 minutes from central Lyon and with easy motorway connections. The staff were kind, friendly, and professional. I stayed two nights and would’ve happily stayed longer. Thank you!

The restaurant was horrible. There are only three main dishes, the same every day, and you can only hope your meal has been freshly cooked. The hotel itself was fine, with clean rooms, a large car park, and a decent, though only decent, breakfast. It’s a bit far from the city center, where the restaurants, cinema, and other good places are.

I was very disappointed. I arrived at 9 pm on a Saturday and found that the hotel had cancelled my Booking.com reservation because I’d forgotten to update my expired credit card details. Their policy requires a valid card, or you can’t stay. Trying to find somewhere else at 10 pm on a Saturday night was awful. I’ll never book with Keriad hotels again.

We slept well in the family room, but the hotel feels dated and dull. There’s no lift, and our room was on the third floor. The room and ensuite were very basic, with just one mirror. The newer Kyriad we stayed at in Vetssille was beautiful by comparison.
