A very good value stay right in the middle of St Gilles Croix de vie, by the market place. Emilie and Eric were friendly and helpful, with good advice and tips. Cosy room 19 was airy, soundproof, and well air-conditioned, with a comfortable bed and two kinds of pillows. There was a kettle and tea available. A very good address in St Gilles.

The terrace gets busy, with a view over the Croix La Vie market square and church, but inside there are comfy leather chairs for only six to eight people. The coffee menu has brews from all over the world. Some might avoid market days, but I wouldn’t: watching the French market bustle while sipping a grand crème is a wonderful panorama.
