The room felt neglected, and the bathroom had a really strong cigarette smell. There were clumps of hair on the bedroom floor, and the skirting board behind the bed was loose. I know Ibis Budget is meant to be cheap, and I wasn't expecting luxury. I've stayed at several Ibis hotels and usually had a decent time, so this was a nasty surprise. Even on a budget, basic cleanliness and maintenance should be there. This fell well below what I expected from the Ibis brand.

The room is small, so I wouldn't stay more than two nights. The price is very good, though. Better to book ahead.

The beds had bogeys on them, and it wasn't clean. They left the bedsheets for us to put on ourselves. The place looks like a prison converted into a hotel. I'd rather sleep on the street.

The bathroom smelled worse than any public restroom I've been in. The walls and heater were dirty, and I couldn't touch the sheets or even sit on the bed. I booked five non-refundable days, but checked in and left after an hour because the room was far beyond the usual kind of hotel dirt. It didn't even feel fit to rent or call a hotel room. The location was dirty too. I just went looking for another hotel and checked out right away.
