Maison Beauséjour

We never made it into the guesthouse since it was already full, but the owner still helped us out when my friend and I got stuck during a bike trip. He let us camp on his land for free that evening and even offered us food. Such a generous gesture. Maybe we'll get to stay there another time.

The room's bedding was very poor, which was the one real letdown. Still, this is a lovely historic building, Diane was exemplary in her welcome and service, and her cooking was excellent 😁. We could also leave our bicycles somewhere safe. I highly recommend the place.

We never got tired of the walks and sunsets in that beautiful setting. The dinners Diane made were delicious, varied, and full of flavor, and sharing the table d'hôtes each day meant meeting lovely new people. Le Beauséjour is charming and picturesque inside and out, from the bedroom to the living room. Diane sent helpful information before we arrived and welcomed us so warmly. It was a magical holiday, and we had a wonderful stay.

We felt at home straight away in this lovely house, with its Art Deco lamps and wooden staircases. The rooms have a fun travel theme, and ours made us feel like we were sleeping in Morocco while actually in Chapeauroux. An unforgettable stay, made even nicer by Diane's warm welcome.
