I saw the bad review and had to say it’s codswallop. We stayed as a couple and had a great time. Our en-suite room had a beautiful view, and the hosts were really friendly. The dinner was the best value we had in France, simple rather than fancy, but tasty and made with quality ingredients. It’s a relaxed, welcoming place. We’re thinking of coming back, which is how I came across that spurious review. RECOMMEND.

I haven’t stayed here myself, but if I’m ever in Saint Isaire, I plan to. The proprietors’ replies to Google reviews deserve five stars on their own. They clearly care about doing a conscientious job, so don’t let the criticism get you down.

The little shop is gradually turning into a gourmet grocery store, which is a real bonus. Elodie, the new manager, is both kind and talented, and we’re delighted she has taken over the restaurant. Her themed Saturday evenings are bringing fresh life to a place that had been struggling. You can enjoy quality local products and original entertainment here, so it’s become a spot worth visiting. Since the new chef took over, everything has been delightful and absolutely delicious. The renovated dining room feels welcoming, and the food can be original while always being full of flavor. At last, a restaurant in our area that we love. Saturday evenings with music are such a joy. Long live La Valette with Elodie at the helm, and thank you.

The local ingredients and homemade dishes make the food here feel fresh, creative, and full of flavor. We had a wonderful time at L’Auberge de la Valette in Saint-Izaire, where the atmosphere is authentic and welcoming, just right for relaxing. The charming village and characterful building make it a place I’d like to return to.
