Vacancéole - Les Chalets de la Chazotte

We loved looking out over the magnificent lake during our stay at Chalets de la Chazotte. The chalets are charming and feel like a complete change of scenery. A lovely choice if you want some quiet away from the city.

We spent five nights here as a family. The setting is quiet and pleasant, and the accommodation is a good size for a few days. The nearest shops are quite far away, though. The chalets could use regular small renovations to feel cosier. The decor needs work, and the water heaters and bedding should be replaced.

We stayed two nights while passing through Auvergne to visit several places. The chalets need urgent renovation and are in poor shape inside and out. In ours, the bed in the family room was too big for the door to close. There’s no bathroom ventilation, so it gets very humid and the towels won’t dry. There were a few other small issues too, which I’ll leave aside.

It was a quiet, relaxing place, but the bed was in very poor condition and too small. The appliances were mediocre at best, to put it mildly.
