We had a wonderful week in Saint Jean de Luz and look forward to returning. Hotel de la Plage is right on the promenade, just 2-3 metres from the beach and bay, with beautiful views across the water. The location is central for markets, shops, restaurants, and Tapas bars. The room was thoughtfully designed, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Every part of the team was terrific, from reception to housekeeping and the kitchen. It’s a beautiful first class hotel, and we’d have no hesitation recommending it. Thanks to all the lovely staff. Right on the boardwalk, with everything within walking distance. The staff were very helpful, and breakfast was nice. It was really quiet, and at night it was nice to hear the ocean waves.

The breakfast buffet was tasty, and the staff were lovely. We’ve just come back from a week here, and the hotel felt friendly throughout. There’s no restaurant on site anymore, possibly because of the Covid years, but plenty of places to eat nearby. Nothing was too much trouble. Just perfect.

The staff really made the stay, going out of their way to help us. We also appreciated that the hotel welcomes dogs. Our newly refurbished third-floor room was huge, with a very comfortable bed and a balcony looking partly out to sea. We loved the location, the room and the people, and would come back without hesitation. Thank you.
