My family and I had the best time at La Ferme de Lombardes last week, and I couldn’t recommend it more. The staff do all they can to make the week run smoothly. They take you to and from the slopes, keep your skis and boots in a heated room so they’re dry and ready in the morning, and cook when needed. I’d especially recommend trying Vincent’s cooking. The accommodation is beautiful and comfortable, the WiFi is great, and there’s a smart TV for the kids. Everything is so well run, and I was really impressed.

The family’s hospitality was amazingly warm, the food excellent, and the apartment very comfortable. Getting to and from the ski slopes in La clusaz each day was easy and made it feel almost like staying right on the slopes. A five-star experience, highly recommended.

Annecy made a lovely outing, with its canals and medieval houses by the lake, about 45 minutes away. La Clusaz is much closer, just a five-minute drive, with lively shops and cafes. That week there was also a street performance festival the kids especially enjoyed, and the resort has an early-season cross-country ski loop since it hosts a world championship leg. We also spent a few relaxing hours at the indoor-outdoor pool and wellness center. The trails in the quiet, wooded surroundings are nice too, but bring proper shoes. We were five staying at The Virolet over Christmas week. The apartment was comfortable and nicely furnished, with lots of attention to detail. Danielle made us feel at home even though we arrived a little earlier than expected. We had ordered a meal for the 25th and it turned into a whole banquet, what a feast from the resident Chef! We’re already looking forward to staying at La Ferme again.

The chalet apartment is on the small side, but it worked well for two adults and two kids. Lovely atmosphere.
